Field
A collection of lines of video that includes every other line. Two-dimensional video images are sliced up into a series of horizontal lines that are sequentially numbered. These lines are grouped into two sets called Fields. The Odd Field contains all the odd numbered lines while the Even Field contains all the even lines. The odd and the even fields are combined together to form a complete frame of video. Fields are used in the interlaced video scanning method.
